3D Perception

In November 2017, Apple launched iPhone X, with has a new Face ID feature for detecting and recognizing the user's face to unlock the phone. In this smartphone, three different VCSEL are used. This innovative feature caused uproar in the industry, and the application of the 3D camera on the front of the smartphone immediately yield unusually brilliant results in VCSEL. The Android has kept pace with Apple , adding similar features to flagship phones. The front-facing 3D imaging function has taken the first successful step, the rear 3D sensing module using ToF can be expected in the future. The application of 3D Sensing cameras with VCSEL as the  key components on mobile phones is poised to explode.
